Accounting Supervisor (Part-Time, 8–16 Hours/Month)

We are seeking an experienced Accounting Supervisor to join our team on a part-time basis. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys flexible hours and meaningful work with a growing firm.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and review the work of 2 bookkeepers to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Oversee full-cycle bookkeeping for small to mid-sized clients using QuickBooks Online and Xero.
- Support Canadian tax filings, including T2 corporate and T1 personal returns.
- Liaise with clients, respond to queries, and occasionally visit client offices for onsite support.
- Visit our Vancouver office 1–2 times a month for meetings or file reviews.
- Identify process improvements and provide training as needed.
Qualifications:
- 3–4 years of accounting experience, preferably with small to mid-sized businesses.
- Proficient in QuickBooks Online and Xero.
- Strong understanding of Canadian taxation (T2 and T1).
- Previous supervisory or team leadership experience.
- Degree or diploma in accounting is required.
- Enrolled in or pursuing the CPA designation is considered an asset.
- Based in Vancouver or Metro Vancouver area with ability to travel locally.
Work Hours & Compensation:
- 8–16 hours/month

Bookkeeper (Part Time, 8-60 Hours/Month)

Whiz Accounting Services Ltd. is a growing, ethical, and digitally enabled accounting firm serving small to mid-sized businesses across various sectors. We specialize in bookkeeping, virtual controllership, and tax services, and are looking for a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to support our expanding client base.
Position Overview:
This is a part-time position starting at 2 hours per week, with potential to grow up to 20 hours per week as the business expands. The ideal candidate will be local to Vancouver or Metro Vancouver and available to attend in-office meetings 1–2 times per month.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform full-cycle bookkeeping using QuickBooks Online (QBO)
- Record and reconcile bank and credit card transactions
- Prepare journal entries and adjusting entries
- Assist with month-end close and working papers
- Maintain organized digital financial records
- Communicate with clients and internal team professionally
- Work independently after an initial training and review period
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of bookkeeping experience with small to mid-sized businesses
- Proficient in QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Excel
- Strong understanding of accounting entries and reconciliations
- Able to work independently and manage multiple deadlines
- Degree or diploma in accounting (degree preferred)
- Located in Vancouver or Metro Vancouver, with ability to attend in-person meetings 1–2 times/month
Compensation & Schedule:
